Lost Memory will be present at the Y/CON Garden Party on 11 and 12 April !
With her series Numéro Invalide, published in 2025 by Akata Édition, the mangaka presents her entire commitment in her autobiographical works, herself being an author and activist for the rights of disabled and intersex people.
Originally from Brussels, she began drawing at the age of 16, out of boredom and following repeated hospitalisations. Following the recommendations of an art therapist, she created Numéro Invalide, an autobiographical work that was first published on the Internet in 2014 as a comic strip, then as a webtoon, and finally as a five-volume manga series by Akata Éditions.

Synopsis
Coralie is only 15 years old when, worried that she has not yet had her first period, she consults a doctor. He diagnoses her with Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser syndrome, a form of intersexuality defined by the total or partial absence of a vagina and uterus. On his advice, and despite her apprehension, she agreed to undergo major surgery to create a vaginal cavity. Little did she know that this operation would mark the beginning of a medical and legal nightmare that would haunt her for years to come…
In Invalid Number, Lost Memory denounces the systemic and structural violence that takes place every day at the heart of our institutions. Through the story of her struggle, from the beginning of her treatment to the publication of this series, she delivers a radical and important message.
