As a reminder, the convention is prohibited to those under the age of 14. We have made this decision because, even though anyone can be a fan of BL/GL regardless of their age, we believe that some of the content presented at Y/CON is not suitable and could offend younger viewers. We have also taken into account the visitors who attend Y/CON each year, more than 95% of whom are adults.

The rules already in place remain unchanged:

– Exhibitors must censor explicit content (violent or sexual) displayed on their stands (sealed R18 artbooks, post-it notes covering genitals in illustrations, folders clearly labelled R18, etc.). – We would like to remind you that Y/CON considers female and male nipples to be the same: they do not need to be censored.

– Cosplay performances must not contain explicit elements (violence or sexuality). If the performance in question requires it, trigger warnings may be given before the performance.

– Activities prohibited to minors are indicated on the programme.

Minors aged 14 to 17 are therefore admitted to Y/CON, subject to certain rules.

Those aged 14 to 15 must:
Be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and present the participation authorisation form (completed and signed), a photocopy of an identity document, and proof of affiliation or guardianship will be requested when tickets are checked.
OR
Be accompanied by an adult who has received authorisation from a parent or legal guardian to accompany the minor. This person must present proof of identity.

If you are aged between 16 and 17, you must comply with the same rules as 14 and 15-year-olds, except if you wish to come alone:
You must present the participation authorisation form (completed and signed) and a photocopy of the signatory’s identity document.

If all these conditions are not met, we will not be able to welcome you to the convention.
