PROMARE screening at Mélies cinema

The film PROMARE by Studio Trigger was screened on 14 November at 8:15 PM at the Mélies cinema in Montreuil.

Synopsis

A huge storm has devastated half of the world’s cities, weakening humans and giving rise to mutants capable of wielding fire, the Burnich. Thirty years later, a group of mutant terrorists called the Mad Burnish threaten to destroy the Earth once again. Humanity’s only defence? The Burning Rescue, a team of firefighters of a new kind.

PROMARE is a furiously fun animated film from Studio Trigger (Kill la Kill, Cyberpunk Edgerunners…). While this studio specialises in pop graphics, humour and robots, it is also known for incorporating queer themes into its worlds, which are unfortunately ignored on the French poster. However, it is the relationship between the protagonists Galo and Lio, adversaries and accomplices, that brings the lexicon of flame into the romantic subtext, leading up to an explosive scene…

Taïfu Exhibition

At this 11th edition, Taifu hosted an exhibition on their booth showcasing several of its flagship licences, including the highly acclaimed Lullaby of the Dawn and more licence to come.

You could discover it in the 2 Passage des Asexétoiles, alongside a selection of other must-see titles.

It was a great opportunity to immerse yourself (or re-immerse yourself) in these worlds that thrill readers.

You could also visit the Taifu Gallery! Here you could find some of Taifu Comics’ most popular series: Stream à Minuit and King’s Maker!

Whether you’re a fan of streamer Mayo and his manager Ogino, or Prince Wolfgang and the mysterious Soo Hyuk, you were able to find reproductions and goodies featuring your favorite characters at the Taifu Gallery ✨
