Specialising in manga and young adult literature, Éditions Akata has built its catalogue around two main themes:
– Manga for women (in the broadest sense of the term).
– Social issues such as ecology, discrimination, inclusion, etc. (manga and novels).
At the same time, two other collections have been created:
– WTF?!, for works that push the boundaries of propriety.
– Héritages, to explore the history and heritage of Asian comics, particularly Japanese comics.
