Synopsis

For Lucas, tracking down fools who have lost their way in the silent labyrinth of the Parisian catacombs is a regular occurrence. When he is tasked with rescuing Axel, who has foolishly gone astray after a clandestine party in the maze, Lucas expects nothing more than a quick, easy job.

But whilst he is used to concocting protective spells and magical incantations, and rubbing shoulders with the ghosts and other creatures that inhabit the shadows of a society unaware of their existence, facing destiny is a whole different kettle of fish. For Axel hasn’t simply got lost. He has been cursed by a very powerful supernatural force, lurking in the underground passages of the City of Light.

Bound to one another, the two young men—who are polar opposites—will have to learn to put up with each other if they are to survive. Especially since fate is not the only force at work in Lucas’s life, and an enemy who has been pursuing him for as long as he can remember is determined to get what he wants from him.
