Founded in 2010 by an artist and a writer, Guilt Pleasure is a publishing project born out of a desire to offer a different take on yaoi and BL. Initially developed in the United States within a small circle of creators, the duo has gradually built an international and multilingual world, recognised for its unique identity.
Through their works, Guilt Pleasure explores darker themes and storylines that stray from the traditional conventions of BL. Complex characters, intense relationships, human psychology and desire intertwine in narratives that seek to push the boundaries of the genre.

A former Staff Sergeant in the US Air Force, Kichiku Neko turned to writing BL in 2012 and joined Guilt Pleasure, where she develops stories with dark, intense themes that are decidedly off the beaten track.
Alongside her is Jo Chen, an illustrator renowned for her cover art in the mainstream comics world, who has been devoting herself to BL manga since 2011. Together, they form the creative duo Guilt Pleasure.
