BoysLove France Awards

The BFA awards ceremony will be held during Y/CON 12 on Saturday 7 November 2026. The awards are organised in partnership with the Mangacollec app, which will allow people to vote for the titles they support.

But how will it all work?

• Firstly, our judging panel will select the titles to be nominated in each of the 12 categories, based on all releases from 2025.
• Once this step has been completed, we’ll open a voting period on the Mangacollec app and website.
• The results will be announced on stage at Y/CON 12 on Saturday 7 November at 4:30 PM. Please note that only the first-place winners in each category will be announced.

Afterwards, there’ll be a Twitch stream featuring the full results (in the good old-fashioned way), even though you’ll already know the first-place winners.

Threads will be posted afterwards and YaoiCast will provide the most comprehensive listing on its blog, as always.

A trained TV presenter, she hosted the music slot on the Nolife TV channel from 2007 to 2015. Having always been passionate about Japan, she continues to work on Twitch for various clients such as Glénat and Kotoon. She also co-hosts, in collaboration with IGN France, a current affairs programme focusing on manga and anime: Le Cri du Mochi.

Her passion for BL was sparked by her discovery of Yuri On Ice!!! and quickly led to the launch of the BL Café podcast, which later became a live Twitch stream. The programme returned in 2026 after a hiatus, but the project’s social media accounts remain active, featuring reviews, amongst other content.

Nico – also known as Yaoi Cast – has been sharing his passion for Boys’ Love online since 2010, first through a video podcast, then on his blog, and now mainly on Instagram, TikTok and Twitch, as well as via his monthly e-magazine! News, reviews, educational content… BL (and more) in all its forms!

Better known by her pen name “Tanja”, she writes about J-music, manga and anime. Having fallen in love with Japan at a very early age, she has been a contributor since 1997 to various fanzines, magazines (Japan Vibes, Rock One), webzines (JaME, Journal du Japon) and her own blog (Last Eve). In 2019, she became involved with the BL Café to introduce Boys’ Love to as wide an audience as possible.

T. Pralinus holds a PhD in French literature, having written his thesis on yaoi; he has been exploring the subject both academically and more informally on his YouTube channel since 2016. He is also the author and illustrator of radio features, screenplays and, above all, novels and comic books, notably in the Boys’ Love genre (Queen Cendrillon, Zanni, My Sweet Barbarian, Boys will be Boys). He works with various publishers as well as on a freelance basis.

Andres Camps, also known as Djado, loves sharing his passion for men’s love, boys’ love and BL/ML games. He completed his degree in art history and publishing with a dissertation on the representation of homosexuality in manga, as well as another on webtoons. Having loved Japan since he was very young, he is an editor for Journal du Japon, has written for the online magazines Florilèges and Tokonoma, has run a blog (Le bazar de Djado) and writes for the BL Café channels. From time to time, he writes for M42 and has already contributed to an issue of Animeland.

A podcast born out of Caroline Segarra’s budding passion for BL, its first episodes were produced alongside Tanja and Sironimo. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the podcast became a live Twitch stream, which went on hiatus at the end of 2024 before returning in January 2026. The team has grown over the years and comprises members with a wide variety of tastes.

This one-of-a-kind convention offers a programme that is as rich as it is varied, spread across an area of 9,200 m². Dedicated exclusively to homo-fiction, Y/CON showcases cultural works featuring gay, lesbian, trans, bi and asexual themes, as well as M/M, F/F, yaoi, yuri, bara and much more… More than 9,000 loyal and curious visitors from across Europe are expected to attend this year.
