Born in the south of France—truly in the south, since she was born in the city of Toulon—Camillede Decker writes since she could put one letter after the other. At first, it didn’t make any sense, but everyone has to start somewhere!

Like a lot of people before her, she dedicated this hobby only to her own enjoyment, without any plan to make a profit out of it. And, as you might understand, since you have her book in your hands,  this is not the case anymore.

Now, she dreams of glory, a substantial income, walkabouts, movies, and cosplaying fans next to whom she’ll possess a great and peculiar aura! Ah, it’s a good thing to dream!

For now, she has one—sorry, multiple—jobs on the side, including one with Beta Publishing (smells like a favor, I’m telling you!), all while she keeps writing what she likes and making her dreams and wishes come true.

Therefore, she writes mystery novels—a mix between Sherlock Holmes and English gothic novels—romances that give you the choice of the love interest, and feminist essays. No matter the style or the subject, as long as she likes it, she tries.

Hoping that you like them too!

Synopsis

She should never have been on the Red Dragon.
In 1842, Hong Kong was still just a rock stolen from China from British canon.
Catherine Melville knows nothing about sea, war, and even less about the pearl she wears at her neck. Pearl that makes people envious in a way she can’t comprehend.
Hung Faa, captain of the red armada and the Red Dragon’s protĂ©gĂ©e, knows its value, but doesn’t know how much it will cost her.
Between these two women opposed to everything, something emerges on the Chinese Sea. Something that doesn’t have any words in the Empire’s languages, something as irrational as the jiaoren swimming under the surface. And as inevitable.
