Prapt is one of Thailand’s leading multi-genre, award-winning authors whose works have been adapted into TV series and translated into various languages. Among his globally recognized BL/Queer titles are:
The Miracle of Teddy Bear: The first BL novel adapted into a prime-time drama on a major Thai TV channel. Featuring a fantasy plot about a teddy bear coming to life, it highlights gender, social, and political oppression while sparking widespread discussion. It was released on Netflix in over 25 countries, translated into Taiwanese, Japanese, and Burmese, and adapted into a Japanese manga.
Prapt continues to push the boundaries of BL into new themes, including time-travel sci-fi in Dreams of the Mayfly (optioned for a TV series) and YouPhonic, a fantasy romance novel exploring Thai-Taiwanese Chinese history inspired by his own family heritage and a visit to a Taiwan book fair.
In addition, Prapt wrote the Detective series, featuring lead characters with a bromance relationship, which stands as one of his most popular works. Comprising Monkey and Tiger, The Vetala Case, and The Corpse Garden, The series blends serial murder mysteries inspired by traditional Thai art with contemporary social issues like refugees, human trafficking, journalistic ethics, and an aging society.
The Eclipse: Adapted into a GMMTV series, this novel weaves Thai political themes into a romance mystery between a student monitor and a rebellious student in a strict all-boys school amid mysterious occurrences. Its success sparked a sequel, The Eclipse Year 2, and translations in Taiwanese, Burmese, and French.
